The Asus Transformer Prime went on sale last month, and now Asus has
launched a new version, the Asus Transformer Prime TF700T, which
features a new Super iPS+ display.
The Super IPS+ display features
a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, this compares to a resolution of
1280 x 800 pixels on the original Transformer Prime tablet,
and it is
powered by a dual core 1.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.
Other
new specifications include a 2 megapixel front facing camera, and the
back of the device features a new design, plus an 8 megapixel camera
with auto-focus and an LED flash.
The Asus Transformer Prime comes
with a choice of either 32GB or 64GB of storage and the 32GB model will
retail for $599 whilst the 64GB model will retail for $699 and will be
available in quarter two.
It certainly sounds even more
interesting than the original Transformer Prime, especially with that
new high resolution display, although we do wonder how Asus customers
who just bought the Transformer Prime will feel about a new version
being released just one month after the original went on sale.
