We first saw the ZTE Tania
back in September of last year, and now the device is official and has
launched in the UK, the Tania is designed to be a budget Windows Phone
smartphone.
The ZTE Tania comes with the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile OS,
Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, and it features a 4.3 inch touchscreen display
with a resolution of
800 x 480 pixels.
Processing on the ZTE Tania is provided by a single core 1GHz
Qualcomm MSM 825 processor and it also features 512MB of RAM and 4GB of
built in storage, although only 2.5GB of the 4GB is usable.
The ZTE Tania also comes with a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus
and a flash, and other features include A-GPS and WiFi, the device is
expected to be available on a range of £10 and £20 a month contracts
with mobile carriers in the UK.
We don’t as yet have any information on how much the SIM free version
of the ZTE will retail for and also no details on the cost of the
device on the various mobile contracts, it will be available with Virgin
Mobile and Bright Point as well as one other UK retailer.
We can expect to see some more new devices from ZTE at next months Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
