Shazam the popular music tagging application creator which has
enjoyed more than 165 million users since its launch back in 2008. Has
this week launched a new iOS application called Shazam Player. Which has
been created to replace the existing Apple music player on iPhones and iPod Touch devices.
The
new Shazam Media Player will feature
social sharing on Twitter and
Facebook together with quick access links to YouTube, ticket information

David L. Jones Shazam, EVP of marketing explains:
“This
is a replacement for the music player on iOS devices. We have great
technology and features we can wrap around any track, but it’s been so
far limited to music you can discover out and about. We thought we’d
bring the feature set and technology to music you have on the device
already,”
