Apple’s Mac Pro is certainly due an upgrade, Apple last launched a
new Mac Pro back in 2010, and since then we have heard a number of
rumors that Apple are working on a new model.
The latest news
comes from the guys over at Mic Gadget, who have received some
information from a new Mac Pro from an anonymous source, and the new Mac
Pro’s will apparently come
with Intel’s upcoming Ivy Bridge chipset.
This
is something we have heard previously, and Apple is rumored to be
testing the new processors with 8 cores and 20MB of cache, and they are
also reported to be using NVIDIA’s Kepler platform for graphics in the
new range of Mac Pro’s.
There are no details as yet on when Apple
will actually launch an updated Mac Pro, although the third quarter of
2012 has been rumored as a possible launch date.
