Google has announced a partnership with cloud gaming service OnLive
for their Google TV platform, and the service will start will an OnLive
viewer app on Google TV.
Basically this means you will just be
able to watch and use OnLive social features on your Google TV device at
the moment, but Google and OnLive are
working to bring the full OnLive
gaming service to Google TV devices.
One
of the first Google TV devices that will come with OnLive gaming built
in is the new range of Google TV devices from Vizio that we saw the
other day and you will be able to play games with an universal OnLive
controller.
By Google adding a feature like this to Google TV, we suspect this could possibly make the platform more popular.
