These days even young kids have their own tablets. It’s better that
they play with their own than mess yours up. Now French educational tech
maker Lexibook is bringing its eponymous kid tablet to the US starting
next month.
It is keeping quiet about specs and a price, but both should be close
to the Lexibook First currently available in Europe. This seven-inch
tablet features a 600MHz processor, 256MB RAM, 4GB storage (expandable
to 16GB with a microSD card), parental controls and 802.11 b/g WiFi.
Hey, I never had toys that did all of that.
The device runs FroYo
and retails for £150 (about $237) overseas, but if it is priced likewise
over here, people just might pass it up for something a little more
powerful and less expensive. We have to see how they price it here.
