We first heard that Google may be working on their own Android tablet
a while back, and in January we heard that it would be called the Google Nexus tablet, following the same branding that they have for their Android smartphones which have been produced with various
manufacturers.
We heard back in January that the device would feature a 7 inch
display, and would be priced around the $199 range looking to take on
Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet.
Now according to a recent report by Cnet,
Google may put their Nexus tablet into production in April, and the
device is rumored to feature a 7 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x
800 pixels.
The Google Nexus tablet is also expected to come with a stock version
of Google’s Android OS, and it will probably come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Of course this is all just speculation at the moment, although we do know that Google has an Android tablet in the works as the device was confirmed by Google’s former CEO Eric Schmidt.
