This week the development team behind the popular Linux Mint
operating system, have announced the arrival of their latest creation in
the form of Linux Mint 12. Linux Mint has been chasing the Ubuntu Linux
operating for sometime. But the development team
behind Mint 12 have
included a number of new features as well as new artwork, which will pro dive Ubuntu with a very worthy competitor.
The Linux Mint 12 operating system features the new Mint GNOME Shell
Extensions (MGSE), that allows you to benefit from the latest features
in the new version of GNOME. However Linux Mint 12 continues to use the
application menu, bottom panel, and other features included in previous versions.
Linux Mint 12 is now available to download for computers equipped
with either 32-bit or 64-bit x86 processors. Supported by 512MB or more
of RAM, 5GB of disk space, and sporting a screen resolution of 800 x 600
pixels or higher.
