We know that Apple is working on a new HDTV, which is expected to
launch some time this year and may be powered by Apple’s voice activated
virtual assistant, Siri.
Yesterday we heard that Apple were in the running to bid for the TV rights for the
UK’s Premiership football, which certainly would make Apple’s new TV services popular in the UK if they managed to secure the rights to the Premiership.
Now according to a recent report by USA Today,
Apple is having trouble convincing the TV networks to sign up to its
new TV services to provide TV channels in a subscription service.
Apple
would obviously have to convince the networks that it is a good idea to
sign up to provide content for their new HDTV in order for the platform
to be viable, although we suspect that Apple will manage to pull it off
as they have in the past with the record companies and movie companies.
